Before you start exploring your semester classes, please read the following reminders and instructions for online class. And if you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to message Academic Department through fsmphilippines@gmail.com with Subject: Concern/Question + (Name of Class concern), we’ll be happy to asisst you as soon as we can. To quicker communication, please maximize the chat button as well.

ASSIGNMENT AND TESTS

Online Tests:

Tests and quizes for many classes will be offered in Google Forms. Academic Department will post the links on this site for any assignment or tests required by your teachers. Students must complete and submit the exam withinthe availability of the tests or quizes.

Make-up Tests

Make-up test will be given only when the failure to complete the test on time is due to one of the following:

  • Emergency/Accident or special leave of absences.
  • Personal illness (must be bedridden and unable to complete the test)
  • Death of an immediate family member
  • Internet or Power Outrage in your region

In order to take a missed exam, the student must communicate to Academic Department through email requesting for make-up test.

Assignments

Due dates for assignments, including term papers, will be listed on the course syllabus and class description. All assignments should be submitted online through google form or email to fsmphilippines@gmail.com with Subject: Class Name + Assignment + Date Due and files should be saved as a PDF file.

VIDEO CONFERENCING (ZOOM)

FIRE School of Minsitry uses ZOOM for video conferencing, including faculty mentoring sessions. Zoom’s website http://zoom.us/ contains information regarding how to join a meeting, software information, and system requirements. Students are encourage to create a free Zoom account, but an account is not reuired in order to join a meeting.

COURSE MATERIALS, AFFIDAVITS AND COPYRIGHT.

Students will be required to listen to all class material required by each individual courses. At the end of the term each student will be required to complete and affidavit, indicating they have done so by the term deadline.

Class materials cannot be reproduced, sold, or distributed to anyone without the express written consent of FIRE School of Ministry Philippines.

The Love of God

This course is designed to expose people to a Biblical theology of God’s love. We will be examining both the Old and New Testament, the viewpoints of the Apostles, as well as Jesus’ example and testimony. We will seek to establish a Biblical definition of love, and through Scripture, determined what God’s love for us is like. We will endeavor to provide an answer to the question: why does God love us?

Class Weekly Requirement:
1. Spend 30 minutes in prayer and meditation over Ephesians 3:14-21

2.  Prayer Journal: Journal should record your interaction with the course material, the manual, and/or your prayer times. Please journal any revelation God is giving you about His love for you. Student should turn in no less than 7 entries for credit. You will need to submit your journal entries by end of the course.

3. Chapter Summary for God’s True Love: A Life Changing Exploration of the Heart of God.

Prayer and Intercession

This is an eight (8) weeks course of Prayer and Intercession. In this course you will learn to pray, but even more importantly, experience a greater intimacy with the One to whom you are praying. You will cultivate a love for prayer, and have your prayer life go from something you do, to who you are. You will study the theology of prayer, the prayers of the Bible, and the prayer life of Jesus as well as other Bible characters. You will learn the types of prayer, hindrances to prayer, and how to pray anointed prayers that shoot straight as arrows. Are you ready to cultivate a deeper relationship with God through a vibrant life of prayer?

Jewish Roots

This course examining God’s eternal purpose for Israel, anti-Semitism in the historic and contemporary Church, and the Jewish roots of the Christian faith.

How To Be Led By The Spirit

This course. seeks to equip the student to recognize and respond to the Spirit’s leading. The purpose of the gifts of the Spirit, and the role of dreams, visions, and the inner witness in hearing from God will be dicussed.

2. Surprised by the Voice of God by Jack Deere (Chapters 1-10)

New Jesus People

God’s will for his people is that they be conformed to the image of his son, Jesus Christ. This dynamic course approaches the foundational-discipleship topic of our identity in Christ as new creations. From a historical standpoint we will discuss the vision and prophecy that called for a “New Jesus People,” 40 years after the original Jesus People” began. From a scriptural standpoint we will discuss Jesus as the Son of God, Jesus as giver of new life, grace, and our call to bear his image.

Biblical Exegesis

This class will teach the steps in the exegetical process of biblical interpretation forstudents who do not know the original languages of the Bible. Students will learn how to interpret Scripture for preaching, teaching, and devotional use, with emphasis placed on the role of the Holy Spirit in the process as students are encouraged to give the Bible and the Holy Spirit a central place in their spiritual lives.

First Corinthians

This course is a discussion-sytled exposition of 1 Corinthians. We will use it as a window into the mind of Paul as an apostle in order to understand the foundation and constitution of an authentic, New Testament church.

Ministry Viewpoint

In Ministry Viewpoints we invite various guest speakers to meet with our students to discuss differnt aspects of ministry. In this class we hope to provoke the students to prayerfully reflect on the various opportunities for ministry after graduation. Whether that is being a pastor, missionary, teacher, nurse, stay at home mom, or photographer, artist, worship leader, etc.

Class Schedule: Fridays | 8:00am – 9:00am

2-3 paragraphs of learning from the speaker of the week.

Baptism and Gifts of the Holy Spirit

This class is designed to learn about the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We will discover who the Holy Spirit is by defining His character traits and how we relate to Him. We will learn how to relate intimately with Him. We will define each of the Holy Spirit and demonstrate how they work in the lives of the believer.

New Testament: Matthew

This class is an exposition of Matthew’s gospel that will focus on the overall purpose of Jesus’ life and ministry as establising God’s Kingdom on earth. Teaching and discussion will focus on dynamic interpretation of the gospel, and practical equipping for our own, Kingdom-centered life, relationship, and ministry.

FIRE Groups

FIRE Group are geared to provide an atmosphere of deliberate mentoring. FIRE Groups give student a unique time to share personal questions and concerns, to seek wisdom, insight, to pray together and to develop depper relationships with each other. The pastoral needs, oversight and care of each student will be facilitated in the FIRE group setting.

Class Schedule: Tuesdays | 9:00 am to 10:00 am (there might be changes in time due to availability of the mentor/s)

Class Requirement:

Student are required to do the following:

2. Complete Weekly Accountability Sheet
3. Attend the Immersion Retreat
